Christmas Appeal 2026

More than a Gift

Together, let’s turn Christmas wishes into brighter futures for children and youth

(10 November 2026 to 10 January 2027)

A Chance to Begin Again

One of the many joys of Christmas is opening gifts on Christmas morning. But, sometimes, the most meaningful gift is not beneath the tree, but the hope that changes a life. For Seth*, that gift was a second chance.

Lost, disconnected from his family and unsure where he belonged, Seth struggled to see a future ahead. Drawn towards harmful influences, he felt increasingly alone. It was when Seth arrived at Boys’ Town that he found people who believed in him. There, he rediscovered hope and found the courage to believe in a brighter future.

The Gift of Many Hearts

Recognising Seth’s longing for acceptance, the multidisciplinary team at Boys’ Town Residential Services journeyed alongside him. Under the guidance of his social worker, Seth and his parents worked through difficult conversations to strengthen family relationships. A counsellor helped him process his emotions and challenges, while a youth specialist served as his trusted mentor and positive role model. Together, their care helped Seth regain confidence in himself and his future.

A Future Within Reach

With newfound hope and support from Boys’ Town, Seth pursued tertiary education and achieved an overseas work placement he never thought possible. Seth aspires to one day start his own business in the Food and Beverage industry. Most importantly, he is rebuilding his relationship with his family and creating new memories together. It is the lasting impact of giving a young person hope and opportunity to transform their future.

“The greatest privilege was not helping Seth change but watching him discover he was stronger than the hardships that once defined him.”
