To design and deliver adventure-based programmes for clients; ensure equipment functionality and liaise with relevant parties including schools and government agencies. To participate in some sales and marketing initiatives and projects as assigned as well.
- Conduct programme recce, present findings and submit recce associated forms.
- Conduct risk assessment for events and programmes including submission of risk assessment forms.
- Plan, design and organize adventure-based programmes and training materials including (and not limited to) lesson plans, programme feedback and evaluation mechanisms.
- Ensure equipment and facility functionality and maintenance to provide safety for clients.
- Facilitate various adventure-based programs, workshops and related services.
- Work in collaboration with staff to ensure the smooth running of programmes.
- Play a variety of roles for programmes which includes instructor, facilitator, coach and mentor.
- Assist the Manager in ensuring that SOPs and documentation are kept up-to-date in good order to fulfil internal audit requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct research activities which include intervention, data collection and basic data analysis and research write-up.
- To be involved in promoting the overall branding and services of Boys' Town Adventure Centre by being involved in both internal and external events when called upon.
- Able to perform physical tasks and activities such as running, hiking, swimming, abseiling, natural rock climbing and sport climbing.
- To be comfortable working evenings and weekends when required.
- To be comfortable leading local and overseas expeditions which may involve trekking, climbing or paddling for long distances when required.
- Minimum Diploma holder with good communications skills (spoken and written).
- Have a passion for active sports or outdoor adventure.
- Has the passion to work with children and youth; including at risk children and youths.
- Preferably with SNCS level 1/ level 2 or higher, SNAS level 1/ level 2 or higher, SCF 1-star/2-star award or higher, SSI Pool Freediving (equivalent and/or higher) with a valid first aid certification.
- Preferably with facilitation experience in ice breakers, team building/bonding games and problem-based activities.
