To coordinate and plan for the educational needs of the boys who are residing in Boys’ Town (BT) in view of the promotion and enhancement of the youths’ education. To oversee the coordination and execution of Boys’ Town Learning (BTL) and other learning needs in Residential Services.
Developmental:
- To work in collaboration with the various units of Boys’ Town pertaining to the welfare of our clients.
- To identify and implement relevant developmental programmes for boys in BT.
- To work with clients to develop skills such as time management and effective study habits.
Administration:
- To provide feedback on client’s disciplinary to the Social Workers and other leads of the Units.
- To keep proper relevant school records of clients to track educational progression.
- To provide impact and outcomes reporting management to the relevant ministries.
- To adhere to the SOPs and SOCs of the Home and support in RS volunteer Management.
Coordination:
- To coordinate clients’ Educational Care plan with the Social Workers.
- To coordinate with schools and assigned personnel on all school administrative requirements.
- To coordinate and map relevant tuition programmes according to clients’ subject requirements.
- To support client's school readiness through the coordination of essential items (e.g., school shoes, attire, textbook).
- To identify and manage volunteers for Tuition Programme as well as Learning Night activities.
- To work with Schools, Unit Leads and Social Workers on the education needs of our clients.
- To identify and work with stakeholders and partners on preparing Work Readiness Attachment Programme (WRAP).

- Minimum Diploma with at least 2 years of relevant
experience.
- Comfortable with working hours of 9am to 6pm and
some weeknights for programmes.
- Ability to work independently, making decisions
and using initiative to establish projects.
- Good planning and organisational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Coordination and administration skills –
documentation and filing.
- Familiarity with the Primary and Secondary School
system will be advantageous.
