With the direction of the Department Head, the incumbent will be responsible for the execution and facilitation of the following key areas:
- IT Risk Management Support and Facilitation of in-house systems with contracted Vendors
- Application Development and Maintenance with contracted Vendors
- Organizational IT Compliance – Policy and Process Documentation
The incumbent shall also work with existing IT personnel with these other functions:
- Managing Data Access and Control
- Digital Process and Experience Improvement
- Staff Onboarding and Offboarding
- Conducting IT-related Training
- Front-end Technical Support
- Assist the Departmental Head to plan and execute IT projects – liaise and manage relevant vendors in compliance to industrial IT Risk Management practices.
- Perform on-going monitoring, assessment and evaluation, and treatment of IT risks, threats and vulnerabilities with existing systems in the organization.
- Design and configure security control measures and maintain IT systems to manage risks.
- Create, review, modify and contribute to new or existing IT policies and procedures.
- Conduct training to raise awareness on user to organizational-level cybersecurity threats and countermeasures.
- Assist the Departmental Head to plan and execute Application Development projects while liaising with vendors.
- Determine, translate, and prioritize business requirements to enhance existing or to create new processes within application systems.
- Evaluate vendor proposals and provide recommendations based on business needs.
- Conduct due diligence checks on service providers and provide evaluation reports with recommendations for the approval of the Departmental Head.
- Responsible for frontline IT Technical Support - prioritize, respond and resolve service requests from end users in a timely manner via the existing IT Ticketing system.
- Manage departmental assets and inventory documentation.
- Assist with the facilitation of departmental or organizational projects and the management of relevant vendors (if any).
- Provide end user training and guidance to colleagues to empower them with relevant ICT skillsets.
- Support and monitor the relevant SOP and participate in audits or MSF case management processes.
- Assist with the management of the Departmental Budget and optimize its usage in accordance with organizational policies.
- Participate actively in all fundraising activities as well as any other commitments that Boys’ Town undertakes.
- Participate in projects, committees, taskforces being appointed by the Departmental Head or Management team.
- Provide project and administrative support to the Departmental Head.
- Report to and provide regular feedback to the Departmental Head.
- Supervise and train any IT junior staff at the request of the Departmental Head.
- Any other duties assigned.
- Diploma or Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or similar.
- At least 2 years of relevant working experience with Application Development.
- At least 2 years of relevant working experience with supporting IT Risk Management.
- High confidence and experience with in-house IT operations and technical support.
- Familiar with Microsoft 365 System Administration or similar, CRMs and ERPs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Proficient in stakeholder management.
- High proficiency in written English for IT policy-writing.
- Ability to facilitate process improvement via technology.
- Willing to learn and pick up new skills on-the-go.
- Adaptable and flexible problem-solving skills.
- An aptitude for Service Excellence.
