Some good questions to consider:

Why are you introducing the cards?
Is there a trusting, respectful relationship between those who will be using them?
Is it the right time to introduce them?
Will the cards get in the way of the learning that is already occurring?
Have issues of confidentiality been considered?
Is there sufficient time and is this the right forum to work through the insights, issues and vulnerabilities that may be raised?
Is the tool appropriate to the energy and literacy levels of the users?
Are the cards culturally relevant?

Our Scrapbook of Strengths

by Russell Deal & Simone Silberberg

Our Scrapbook of Strengths can be used with families, community groups, work teams, support groups, school children, and pretty much any other gathering of people. It provides an opportunity to acknowledge and recognise the existing strengths and to identify ways in which these strengths can contribute to the resilience of the group. Open doors to alternative stories about the group's relationships--and re-instigate hope in a problem-saturated story. Restore faith in a group's capability to overcome issues, undertake new projects and successfully achieve their goals.
