Overview

In keeping with the times and to continue meeting the increasing needs of youth at risk, Boys' Town has expanded its services to 3 new ones in the areas of youth outreach, clinical intervention, as well as training and research.

YouthReach

YouthReach is a joint youth outreach project by Catholic Welfare Services (CWS) and Boys' Town to serve youths over and above the 60 boys in Boys' Town. Part of the services of YouthReach includes a drop-in centre in Tampines which aims to provide a sense of purpose and direction, and to inculcate values in the lives of the youth. YouthReach also provides services such as counselling, home visits, and life skills workshops to Hai Sing Catholic School and AES.

Clinical Intervention Centre

Clinical Intervention Centre aims to provide our clients with psychological interventions through counseling, psychotherapy, groupwork and other psychological services. All the boys in our residential programme, their families as well as the youths in our outreach programmes should receive some kind of psychotherapeutic programmes that will aid them in their developmental and rehabilitative issues.

Youth Training, Resource and Research

The training arm aims to provide consultancy service, training programmes and workshops on youth-related topics, as well as certifications related to youth work. The resource centre is in the process of developing a resource library on youth at risk, as well as establishing a dealership with Innovative Resources in Australia which designs and provides materials that aids working with youths. The research arm aims to consolidate Boys' Town's knowledge and experiences in youth work.
