Chris de Silva is one of the newest composers and recording artists at GIA Publications, Inc. Chris shares his gift of music with many and has played yearly at liturgies, workshops, concerts and prayer services around the US, Canada and Asia. Originally from Singapore and a graduate of the prestigious University of Southern California (USC) Thornton School of Music , Chris currently resides in Los Angeles, California and is presently the Director of Liturgy and Music at St. Brendan Catholic Church and School. Chris enjoys working with adults, youth and children in a multicultural, multilingual parish setting, which has inspired much of his compositions.

Chris is the first Singaporean artiste-songwriter to be signed with the GIA label and he has recorded 2 albums: “Images of Love” in 2006 and “One Love, One Song” in 2007. Chris was also back in Singapore last year and held concerts at the churches of St. Mary of the Angels, Holy Family and St. Theresa.

As part of Boys' Town's 60th anniversary celebrations this year, we are holding the “Go Out To the World” concert by Chris de Silva on the 22nd and 23rd of August, 2008. We are indeed blessed to have Chris perform for our 60th anniversary celebrations and we hope that you will be able to join us & Chris in this joyous journey of songs.
