Our Community (BTH, AVI, AES, BTA)
Boys’ Town Home (BTH)
The Home is responsible for residential care. The boys here come from diverse backgrounds; poor & middle-class families, single-parent, restructured families, as well as intact family units. Many come to Boys' Town at a time when facing difficulties. Their difficulties may stem from negative peer pressure, lack of supervision and care, poor parenting skills and family crisis. We provide them an environment conducive for their studies and to live in. Residents are aged between 11 and 18.
Assumption English School (AES)
AES, founded in 1953, is the only co-educational Catholic Mission Secondary School in the Western part of Singapore founded in 1953. The school caters to a diverse range of mainstream pupils in a total of 30 classes. Our mission is to educate the whole person in the Montfortian spirit of charity and love where effective academic programs and co-curricular activities are integrated with the development of character.
Assumption Vocational Institution (AVI)
AVI is the only government-aided Vocational Institute in Singapore founded in 1938. The school provides vocational training for early school leavers aged 14 and above who leave school after their Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) or before completing their secondary education. Our mission is to provide school leavers with vocational and life skills together with character formation and to develop their physical and moral well-being in a caring environment in order for them to reach fulfillment in life.
Boys' Town Alumni (BTA)
The BTA was formed in the late 1950s. The alumnus actively raises funds for Boys’ Town as well as their own scholarship funds. Membership here caters exclusively to our ex-youths.
